1. A generous donor has agreed to donate money to build a curling facility for the Brainerd lakes Area. 2. The plan is for the curling facility to be built on the Crow Wing County Fairground, behind the Food Building on the West side of the fairgrounds. 3. Once it is built, the building will be used 6 months of the year by the Brainerd lakes Curling Association and will be used the other 6 months by the Crow Wing County Fair. 4. The plan is to build the building this year and be open and ready to start curling by january 2012. 5. Once the building is built, the plan will be to have league curling on multiple night, as interest dictates. Leagues that could become availible could include Men's, Wonen's Mixed, Youth and Senior. We are interested in hearing from people as to what kind of leagues and what nights they would be interested in, as we look at planning our first season, planned to start in January 2012. 6. The Brainerd Lakes Curling Association is still looking to raise funds for the project. This will allow us to add amenities that will make this good facility a great facility. We would love to hear from any people or businesses who are interested in donations or sponsorships.
